It's clear that it's the elephant within the ring, and the governing bodies all over the globe are well aware of the possibility.

Robert Smith, secretary of British Boxing Board of Control, and Keith Walters secretary of London ABA have already met to discuss their respective policies.

Smith stated that although the problem may not be present at the moment, it is possible to see it in the future.

"When it happens, we will be fully prepared. "Medical and, perhaps, more important, legal considerations must be considered."

Sharron Davies, a silver medalist in swimming at the 1980 Moscow Olympics has been a vocal advocate against transgender athletes being allowed into women's events.

Davies is supported by the majority of sportswomen. They believe that transgenders, despite having their testosterone levels reduced, still enjoy many of the same physical advantages as males.

It is unlikely that a transgender competitor would cause injury to a swimmer, cyclist or track athlete.

Savannah Marshall, who was defending her WBO World Middleweight title, knocked out Belgium’s Femke Hermans last Saturday with a vicious left hook.

Femke was sick with a cold, and it took paramedics several minutes for her to recover.

It is hard to imagine the serious harm Femke would have suffered from a transgender man hitting her.

Even militant trans activists who are known to send death threats to anyone who opposes them have the common sense to realize that it would be very dangerous to allow transgenders compete.
