Tyson Fury knocked Deontay Wilder out in 11 rounds

Fury got three knockdowns and was able to get up twice more from the ground before his brutal knockout round 11.

He tried to embrace Wilder after he had closed out the trilogy in style.

Fury later criticized the American fallen for being a "sore loser" despite his efforts being ignored.

Shelly Finkel, Wilder's comanager, assures Wilder that Fury is respected and would accept the peace offer.

SunSport's Finkel said: "Him (respect Fury) and we have spoken about that.

"I believe his mind wasn’t really there. I think Deontay would give Fury a big hug if he saw Fury now."

Wilder, 35, initially drew in 2018 with Fury, 33. He was then defeated in the rematch last season, losing the WBC title.

He refused to accept his loss and blamed everything except a Gypsy King boxing masterclass.

Wilder's refusal to quit and performance on the night of his promised retribution despite defeat, redeemed his reputation.

Finkel agrees that Finkel was the best man on the night. He hailed Britain’s unbeaten, twice-champion.

He stated, "It was fair, Fury fought right."

"Fury got up a bit late, but that doesn't make it any less important. The fight was what it was and Fury deserves all of the credit.

"The man is very powerful, very versatile and big. He's been a gentleman with me all his life."

Wilder is now back in Alabama and will be taking a prolonged rest period, along with a six-month suspension.

Next week, he will need surgery for a fractured right hand sustained during the fight.

Finkel stated: "He's doing very well. He gives Fury all credit for performing the way that he did."

"But Deontay was fighting in the third round. He got hit with the ear. It threw his equilibrium off.

"And I was looking at him and I said, "What happened to his legs?" Because he had worked so hard.

"He also broke his right hand in the middle rounds behind the third knuckle. He will need to get that fixed next week.

"He must have surgery. The knuckle is okay, it's just the bone behind that broke."
