Top Contender on the Rise

With this win, Price moves one step closer to a potential all-Team GB showdown with Liverpool world champion Natasha Jonas, who was present ringside. Price expressed her respect for Jonas and her desire to share the ring with her, stating, "It would be an honor to share the ring with her, considering we are both British."

Thrilling Boxing Match

The welterweight bout between Price and Muzeya was a thrilling spectacle from start to finish. Price, known for her powerful southpaw jabs, made her presence felt early on and displayed her aggression throughout the fight.

Muzeya, however, did not back down and landed a strong right hand in the second round, keeping Price on high alert. The fight took an unexpected turn as the third round ended, with Muzeya landing a well-timed jab after the bell. Referee Steve Gray issued a final warning to Muzeya, accepting her claim that she didn't hear the alarm.

The intensity continued in the fourth round when Price forced Muzeya to the ground, although the referee ruled it as a slip and did not count it as a knockdown. Price finally secured a knockdown in the fifth round, but it was the clash of heads just before that that caused a horrific cut above Muzeya's left eye.

Referee Ends the Fight

Due to the seriousness of Muzeya's injury, the referee made the decision to wave off the fight. Price was declared the winner and celebrated her victory, but the outcome was bittersweet for both fighters.

Price's determination and courage, amidst the recent loss of her brother Tony, were evident throughout the match. Her resilience shone through, even in the face of adversity.
