British boxing legend Ricky Hatton has expressed concerns about Tyson Fury's condition following his grueling trilogy series with Deontay Wilder. Fury, who made a remarkable comeback in 2018 after battling depression and substance abuse, won the series with two stoppages. However, Hatton believes that the toll of these fights, combined with Fury's past struggles and weight loss, may have taken a toll on his body.
Concerns for Potential Super-Fight with Anthony Joshua
Hatton's worries come as Fury is expected to face Anthony Joshua in a highly anticipated super-fight. Hatton acknowledges that this clash of styles will be one of the biggest fights in British boxing history. While Fury has been dominant in the heavyweight division for years, Hatton emphasizes the need to assess Fury's current condition and what he has left in the tank.
Hatton states, "Don't forget it's not just the three Wilder fights, it's the lifestyle he's had as well where he's had to lose ten stone in the past and what it does to the body and then having those three wars with Deontay Wilder. It might be too many miles on the clock for Tyson or maybe he took him lightly because he didn't look in the best shape."
Despite his concerns, Hatton hopes that the fight between Fury and Joshua can be made, as it would be a tragedy for British boxing if this historic bout doesn't come to fruition. Hatton admits that he leans towards Fury as the favorite but is not as confident as he once was.

Potential Challenges Ahead for Fury and Joshua
Fury, who recently faced off against Francis Ngannou in a crossover clash, managed to secure a controversial points win. This victory sets up his upcoming four-belt undisputed title decider with Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia on February 17.
Meanwhile, Joshua's fight against Ngannou has been scheduled for March in Saudi Arabia. This match was arranged after Wilder's defeat to Joseph Parker, which dashed hopes of a mega-fight between Wilder and Joshua.
There is still optimism that Fury and Joshua can finally meet in the Battle of Britain if they both emerge victorious in their respective fights in the Middle East.
