CANELO ALVAREZ was relegated to the number one spot in Ring Magazine's most recent pound-for-pound ranking of top ten boxers.
31-year-old Mexican ace was defeated by Russia's WBA lightweight champion Dmitry Bivol.
This was his second loss in 61 fights. His previous loss came to Floyd Mayweather in 2013.
Before Canelo's shocking defeat, he was at the top Ring's P4P List.
He has fallen in the rankings and Tyson Fury is no longer available after his brutal knockout win over Dillian Whyte last week.
The Ring Magazine still considers Fury their top heavyweight champion and champion, but they have removed him from their updated list.

SunSport includes Fury still in the updated list. The Gypsy King is third behind Terence Crawford, Canelo and Canelo.
SunSport takes you through the Ring's ranking, leaving Canelo out of the top 5.
1. Oleksandr Usyk - Heavyweight
After outclassing Anthony Joshua at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the unbeaten Ukrainian 35-year-old proved his class.
He is currently preparing to defend his WBA and WBO heavyweight belts against AJ this summer.
Usyk is the Ring's first heavyweight to reach the top of the P4P rankings since Mike Tyson more than 30 years ago.
2. Terence Crawford - Welterweight
The American ace is a three weight world champion. He has yet to lose any of his 38 fights.
He has won 29 of his fights by knockouts. His last nine wins came within the distance.
Fans hope to see him in an undisputed Title affair against Errol Spence later in the year.
3. Naoya Inoue - Bantamweight
The Japanese KO specialist is also a world champion in three divisions. 19 of his 22 fights ended in brutal fashion.
Next month, he will defend his WBA/IBF belt against Nonito Donaire, the WBC champion. This will be in a rematch from their 2019 World Boxing Super Series final.
4. Errol Spence - Welterweight
Spence, 32 years old, is another impressive puncher, having racked up 22 knockouts in his 28 fights.
To set up a blockbuster fight against Crawford, Yordenis Ugas was stopped by the WBC, WBA, and IBF champs last month.
5. Juan Estrada - Super-flyweight
After defeating Roman Gonzalez in their unification bout, the Mexican ace, 32 years old, added WBA to his WBC belt in February 2021.
After Gonzalez's November 2012 win, a trilogy fight could be held between the two.
6. Canelo Alvarez - Super-middleweight/light-heavyweight
Canelo is now in sixth place after defeating Bivol. He has to make a major decision about his next fight.
A loss against Bivol in a second round could damage his reputation. He could instead choose to face Gennady Gorlovkin for the third time.
7. Vasyl Lomachenko - Lightweight
After being outpointed during their unification dust-up, Usyk's stablemate and compatriot was shocked by Teofimo Lopez on October 2020.
He has since won back his winning ways, beating Richard Commey and Masayoshi Nagani in convincing fashion.
8. Dmitry Bivol - Light-heavyweight
The 31-year old has won all 20 of his appearances in the squared circle, successfully defending his WBA title nine times.
Bivol would welcome a rematch with Canelo. However, should Canelo decide against it, Bivol could be looking at a unification bout against Joe Smith Jr. or Artur Beterbiev.
Next month, the pair will face off at the Hulu Theater New York with the WBC and WBO straps.
9. Josh Taylor - Super-lightweight
The Scottish star is ninth despite his controversial win over Jack Catterall in February, where El Gato was denied a decision.
Taylor lost the fight, and it appeared that he was outclassed. However, Taylor won the fight on a split decision.
It is vital to rematch Catterall.
10. Roman Gonzalez - Super-flyweight.
The first Nicaraguan to win the world title in four weight classes is the 34-year-old.
He bounced back after his defeat to Estrada in 2013 by outpointing Julio Cesar Martinez, March.
