Fury doesn't want to give up on him, even though the Ukrainian has already ruled himself out until next year after beating Anthony Joshua.
He stated that Usyk called me out after his fight with Joshua. I replied, "Let's fight this year, wherever they want it."
"I have been waiting for offers from other countries, but suddenly Usyk stated that he does not want to fight anymore, and he would rather fight next year than this year.
"So, I'm not going around waiting for anyone, I'm announcing next week a fight."
Fury, 34 years old, seems to have confirmed that he will be stepping out of retirement after he defeated Dillian Whyte (34), in April.
It came as Usyk (35), beat Joshua (32) for the second time, setting up the first heavyweight division four-belt unification bout.
The pound-for-pound superstar wants to be with his family and friends, whom he lost while training in the war with Russia.
Usyk stated that fighting Tyson Fury in December was impossible. Two reasons.
"First, I have some old injuries that require treatment. They came out.
"Recovery is going to take a few months. Second, I don't want December to come around.
"I haven’t been to the gym in half a year. I want to be with my family, my children. There are some things you can do at home.
"Boxing can be put off a bit. It will be next year, I believe."
Fury also revealed that he has a plan for his interim opponent and will reveal it at a press conference.
He stated that he believed it would be announced next week. I know who it is and I know where I am fighting. It is me. I also know who I am fighting.
