John Kavanagh, the coach, felt the full force and power of McGregor's presence when his famous student returned to SBG Ireland to grapple.

BlockAsset spoke with Ireland's first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt: "I don’t know if I can see the few marks and nicks that I got.

Kavanagh's wife Orlagh was not surprised by the markings McGregor left.

He said, "And I returned home, and I walked into the door. And Orlagh asked, 'What is the f*** happen to you? Is there something wrong with your head?

"And she said, Oh, Conor came.' She just kind of rolled her eyes and said, Yeah that makes sense.

"But yeah, it was a great time."
