Hard Training and Sacrifices
Portuguese MMA fighter Pedro Carvalho left his family behind in 2016 to train at John Kavanagh’s gym in Dublin, alongside Conor McGregor, in pursuit of his dream.
Motivated by Family
Carvalho missed 18 months of his son's life, but the sacrifice fuels his determination to succeed in the sport and secure a $1 million prize.
From Cleaner to Fighter
Before making it big in Bellator and now the Professional Fighters League, Carvalho worked as a hospital cleaner to support his training and fighting career.
Family Comes First
After signing with Bellator, Carvalho was able to bring his family back to Ireland, where he now trains and lives with his wife and two children.
PFL Season and $1M Prize
Carvalho is currently competing in the PFL featherweight season, aiming for the title and the life-changing $1 million prize that would secure his children's future.
Learning from McGregor
With Conor McGregor as a training partner, Carvalho gains valuable insights and inspiration from the former champ-champ as he pursues his own championship dreams.
