UFC chief Dana White has been criticized by Sean O'Malley, MMA fighter. He wants to be paid 'what he's worthy'.
According to reports, the 26-year-old bantamweight received a base salary in the amount of $60,000 (around $43,300) for his fight against Thomas Almedia on March 6.
UFC star Sean O'Malley would like a larger pay cheque
O'Malley spoke out about his podcast pay and said that he had no problem paying his listeners what they are worth.
"This shouldn't be a problem. It shouldn't be an issue, especially when I blow up like that.
"Those last two fights and third-round finishes, handing down brain damage. You should feel like "Hell yeah, I'm going to pay you a lot." It was your hard work.
"Dude, UFC 264 was my fight."
O'Malley's remarks come just a month following his stop at Kris Moutinho at UFC 264, where he won the Fight of the Night award.
Conor McGregor received a minimum amount of PS2.2million, but O'Malley is believed to have received about 10%.
White's UFC empire has a value of billions of dollars, but stars only get a fraction.
Jon Jones, a light-heavyweight, is currently involved in a dispute with the promotion. He has not fought since February 2020.
Jake Paul also criticized White for the issue. White placed a $1m wager that Jake Paul would lose to Ben Askren in a Boxing Match.
Paul stated that "In my third fight I made more money than any fighter in UFC History in total pay."
"Maybe it's the right time to give your fighters their dues?" They all want to box.
