She claims that she would have succeeded in the UFC, if there was an atomweight division, after having made her debut on the same card with Paige VanZant nearly a decade ago.

VolumeSports was told by Sanko: "Paige VanZant, and I, debuted on the exact same card, the same night. And we both got wins, both got finishes.

"I am certain that I would have been able to continue my career in the UFC if there was an atomweight division. It's clear in my mind.

"There isn't much footage of me fighting and I'm far better than any footage.

"That's what I find annoying, because my growth as fighter actually happened after I stopped competing actively.

"There is a part in me that longs to compete again just to prove to others that I am serious about this life."
