Last year, Errol Spence Jr. suffered an eye injury

Spence, 32 years old, would miraculously recover to fight one-year later and beat Danny Garcia, 33 on points in December 2020.

After sustaining an eye injury during training, he signed for Manny Pacquiao (43), to fight him in boxing.

The welterweight champion was able to recover from surgery and will now face Yordenis Urgas, 35, who is the Cuban who succeeded him against Pacquiao.

Spence will defend his WBC/IBF titles against Ugas' WBA version at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 16, where he is home.

He stated, "It feels great to be back. It's a blessing that you are in this position.

"Most people consider life a given until they are given another chance. I have been given a second chance at life and a third chance at boxing.

Ugas retired Pacquiao, and he was ready to welcome Spence back into the ring.

As he prepares for his return to the ring, after having overcome adversity, the US pound-for pound star has been training for over half a year.

Spence stated that it would be a thrilling fight. Ugas is always ready to fight.

"I have to give Pacquiao all my respect, but I'm a different fighter than Pacquiao. At this point, I'm a better fighter."

"Ugas is a true warrior, but I am hungry too. This opportunity is not going to pass me by.

"I feel strong. The missing ingredient was my nutritionist, whom I hired for this camp.

"I struggled to lose weight, and that is why I haven’t had a stoppage in my last fights.

"This is the first time in a while I haven’t worn the sauna suit to camp. It was a breath of fresh oxygen. This training camp is great fun.
