Fury, meanwhile was a promising heavyweight prospect who wanted to sparring.

Although the two give different accounts, Sean Murphy, Finchley trainer, has insight from the ringside.

Murphy retold the story of the session in a BBC interview.

"They've come out, and Josh has thrown an uppercut, jab, and left hook, and he's on wobbly leg, rubber legs!"

"He grabbed the ropes from me and I told him that you cannot hold them. You have to let go of these ropes."

"So, he released the ropes and said, "OK". They've completed the first round. Josh was able to defeat him in the second round.

"Come out for round two, Josh. I said, "Just do what you did, relax, straight punching. Nothing overly great."

"He's out for the second round, and Tyson starts talking off to Josh now. He's getting in his ears talking to Josh.

"And Josh is getting wild. He's trying to knock Josh out now Josh, and he's back, and I've asked, 'What're you doing?

"I told him to stick to his boxing and do what I said." He's now out for the next round.

"BEGGING FOR A ONE MORE ROUND"

Fury was said to have been defeated, and the future champion of two-times pleaded for a fourth round.

Murphy stated: "Tyson gone. 'No, not, no.' And he's asking for another round.

"I said, "Nah Josh, you've done three rounds," because I knew what the craic meant, and he was going try to put it on me next.

"Which Josh probably could handle, but I wasn’t going to take it because if we weighed us in, we would have done five rounds if he paid.

"Because he's an amateur boxer I'm not letting his go in with a pro and get nothing for it."

According to the story, Fury offered his Rolex to any sparring partner if he was ever dropped.

Joshua felt a sense satisfaction knowing that the watch was almost his.

Murphy recalls: "Josh glanced over at him and asked, 'Was my Rolex up for grabs tonight?"

"And he laughed Tyson and Josh said, "I almost got it, I almost got it."

Fury, 33, stated that Joshua, 31, had beaten him for three rounds in an interview immediately after the spar. However, he later retracts this statement.

After the agreement of two terms for all-British unification, all disputes and talking were resolved this summer.

Fury tried to walk away from the contract for his trilogy fight with Deontay wilder, but it was rejected.

They will rematch on October 9th, while Joshua will face Oleksnadr Uzyk (34), on September 25th.
