BOXING fans believe Tyson Fury, WBC heavyweight champion, will be the latest victim in the "Versace curse" on Saturday night.
Conor McGregor and Billy Joe Saunders, fighting superstars in their respective fields, have both lost big fights since they wore Versace robes during the build-up.
Tyson Fury wore a Versace robe that was cursed by the designer Versace.
On Monday, the Gypsy King, aged 33, arrived at a press conference wearing his custom-made Versace robe and holding his WBC belt.
Undefeated Fury, 35, is getting ready for his tri-fight with Deontay Wester on Saturday. He is also keen to look fashionable in an upmarket Italian brand.
However, social media users were immediately alarmed by the Brit's attire. Several tweeted the words "Versace curse"
McGregor wore Versace clothes in preparation for his August 2017 boxing match against Floyd Mayweather... but he was stopped in round ten.
Saunders did the exact same thing before his fight with Canelo alvarez... but he was stopped in round 8.
Fury also wore Versace robes in May just before Wilder's fight was delayed from July to October because of a Covid epidemic.

Another wrote: "Break The Robe Curse, Tyson."
Fury was told by one supporter that the Versace robe was cursed. Get rid of it.
Other fans were not affected by the curse and one replied: "People will say whatever it takes to stop the Gypsy King."
Fury should be commended for not tipping McGregor and Saunders to win their fights.
After outclassing Wilder in their previous meetings, the Manchester boxer is now favourite to face Wilder.
Even if Fury suffers a first career setback on Saturday, he will do it in the best clobber Italy can offer.
