Paul boasted online that the numbers were actually low, implying that he is richer than he claimed.

Paul wrote on Instagram: "So my father called me today to ask if the numbers reported today were exaggerated."

"[He] said, "I knew that you made close to that but did that really happen?" The answer was "Yes dad, and in fact, the numbers are slightly lower."

Forbes often exaggerates the amount made. When I was on the Forbes list in 2018, I earned $17 million. They reported $22 million, I believe.

"They are behind today, and the numbers are low."

"Most celebs will say, "Thank the Lord, I'm so blessed," but I think any regular motherf***er can do this s***, if you're a sicko and willing to die for your cause."

Paul made his professional debut in January 2020 by beating 'AnEsonGib,' an online opponent. He then beat Nate Robinson (37), in the November.

In a breakout 2021 Paul KO'd Ben Askren, UFC welterweight, 37 and then won two victories against Tyron Woodley (39).

Before a brutal KO in December's rematch, the first was awarded points in August.

Paul had signed to fight Tommy Fury (22), but the Brit pulled out with an injured rib. Woodley was defeated in the short-notice rematch.

Paul will now face a professional boxer with previous experience. Fury has withdrawn.

He promises to change that this year. He even entered talks to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., a 61-fight veteran, and ex-middleweight champion.

Paul said to Chris Mannix, "I like that fight because it silences critics."

"He was a former champion world and I know that I can beat him. This challenge excites and motivates me.

"Even after knocking out Woodley, they were like fight a real fighter' and I was like You guys, I tried, and then he dropped out two weeks earlier.

"So, I want a fight with a real boxer. News flash, I'm going to. Just have some f **ing patience."
