DAVID HAYE admitted that he would not resist fighting Lennox Lewis following his return against Joe Fournier.
After losing to Tony Bellew in consecutive bouts, the British boxing legend has retired. He also lost his fight with injuries.
Joe Fournier will be fought by David Haye in his comeback.
Fast forward three years and Haye will be defending Fournier's millionaire businessman title. Fournier happens to be Haye's best friend.
They will settle a dispute in the ring on September 11th, when Oscar De La Hoya (48) makes his return.
Haye, 40, insists that the fight is a brief appearance in the ring. This is to teach Fournier, 38, the London nightclub mogul.
However, if everything goes according to plan and his ego is not stoked, the former heavyweight champion won't rule out a prolonged stay in the sport.
According to Haye, the Daily Mail reported that "If this goes well then exceptional circumstances could trigger an additional five to ten per cent chance of me doing anything more serious."
He answered, "Lennox," when asked who would be his irresistible rival. I've always idolised him.
"In all honesty, I couldn't resist the honor of sharing a fight with this giant of boxing who is not only one the best heavyweights ever but also in my opinion the greatest British boxer of all time."
Haye promoted Fournier, a 9-1 light-heavyweight and the pair were on holiday in Mykonos last month.
It was then that a dispute erupted over who would win among them.
Triller, who brought Mike Tyson out from retirement in November, can be reached by a single phone call and all your best friends will boast about it.
Haye also admitted that if Haye's stunning knockout against Fournier makes him eligible to fight Lewis, then so be.
He stated: "If knocking Joe can help that happen then sorry pal, I'll need to get out the old Hayemaker.
"Boxing is like a game where you cannot say never again," says one boxing expert.
