After praising Deontay Wilder, Floyd Mayweather's former trainer accused him of firing "random shots" at him.

DEONTAY WILDERS' trainer hit back at Floyd Mayweather, after the boxer made a subtle dig at American heavyweight Floyd Mayweather.

Wilder had to get rid of Mark Breland, his trainer after his defeat to Tyson Fury in February 2020. He was left fuming when Breland decided to give up.

The trio clash was then fought by Malik Scott, a former heavyweight champion. He also lost the fight by stoppage.

A recent social media post by Mayweather appeared to be a way for Wilder to get a message across.

He stated, "Please click the follow button to follow a humble student and mentor in the sport boxing."

"He has all the qualifications and credentials to support why he is an elite boxing coach. This is something that many people are claiming to be. Follow Mark Breland

Scott responded to the comments by saying: "I wouldn’t say that he [Mayweather] were talking s*** about my.

"I would guess he was taking his usual random shots towards Deontay, and indirectly, he is also taking shots at me, since I'm Deontay’s head trainer. So it's whatever.

"But what's more amusing is that Mark Breland has been a legend for decades and Floyd suddenly posts him praise coincidentally one week after Fury loses to Fury.

"But to make it even more fun, Mark Breland never liked Floyd.

He's called Floyd a big mouth, overrated, on numerous occasions.

"Smh [shake your head], that's people for you though [clown emoticon]

Scott confirmed recently that Wilder will not be retiring despite two defeats by Fury.

As he seeks his first win since 2019, he is expected to make a return to the ring in spring 2022.
