The British hero lost the fight, his second loss of his career. McCracken was then criticized for his attitude and began looking for a new trainer.

He has now announced that his assistant coach was promoted in a major change to his setup.

Joshua stated to Behind The Gloves, "I'm working right now with Angel Fernandez." He has been with me for the past three years.

AJ answered "Yeah man" when asked if Fernandez would become his main trainer.

This comes just a few days after Eddie Hearn, Joshua's Matchroom promoter, said that he felt it was now time for Joshua's to "move on" from McCracken’s Sheffield HQ.

He stated that he felt it was time to leave the environment.

Joshua's rematch with Usyk, which was supposed to take place in April, is now uncertain. Usyk was involved in the fight against Vladimir Putin's Russia.
