Former UFC Welterweight World Champion Dan Hardy thinks a fight between Jake Paul or Conor McGregor would bring in 'ridiculous amounts of money'.
Paul claimed recently that he makes more money in the UFC than McGregor.
Paul is a 6-0 boxer who wants to fight McGregor in the ring
A YouTuber who is now a boxer has called out a few of the biggest UFC stars, with rumors swirling about a fight against the 'Notorious' McGregor.
Paul revealed that McGregor and his team talk 'constantly' about a possible bout earlier in the month.
Hardy believes that a fight between them would bring in an incredible amount of money.
According to the Mail, Hardy stated that "it would make so much money it'd be absurd."
"You have two men who have their own audiences and an audience that is huge in their own right.
"The only thing I would consider is the size difference. That's the only thing that could affect the saleability of the fight.
"But Conor has such a big personality, and he looks like the Hulk right now, it's definitely something I believe is sellable."
Hardy claimed that McGregor and Paul would attract more viewers than the UFC heavyweight title fight.
He said, "I believe people are more interested the individual fighters than the cause they are fighting for."
"If Jake Paul faced Conor McGregor in a fight, there would be more people watching that than the UFC heavyweight title."
Paul is believed to have earned almost $20 million dollars (PS15m), just from boxing - that's before he beat Tyron Woodley on Dec 18.
McGregor, meanwhile, fought in the UFC twice in 2021. He won a guaranteed $6million (PS4.4m), from just two fights in this calendar year.
However, the total earnings of the Irishman would have been substantially increased by any additional agreements he has with UFC and his respective cuts of pay-per view points.
Any potential McGregor-Paul fight is sure to bring in a lot of cash.
