DEONTAY WILDER hopes to return to the ring in May to try and regain the heavyweight title.
Last month, the Bronze Bomber was defeated by Tyson Fury in an 11th round KO.
Deontay Wilder is trying to get back in the ring
.
Wilder, 36, has been banned from competing in the ring until April, but plans to return to it shortly after he has completed his medical suspension.
World Boxing News' Coach Malik Scott stated that "We should be back at camp, in my view, no later than March, and fight in May."
"Or, we might be back at camp before March. It all depends on his recovery, how he feels, and how everything is going.
He said, "Deontay stated he was going on vacation, which I agree with. In a few months we'll all be back at camp and he will be fighting."
Scott insists that his opponent's return in the ring will not be a tune up fight.
He stated: "With Deontay obviously, the first battle back is not going be at the same level that he just left. It is important to do things right.
"But at the exact same time, we cannot go lower than that because he is a high entertainment revenue fighter.
"He is big-time boxing. Deontay is a danger to us all.
"Obviously it won’t be Fury level but it won’t be someone down in the bucket.
"We are not going to find someone with a record of 27-11. It's not possible.
"It must be a name that fans know."
Scott admitted that he enjoyed Wilder's epic trilogy fight against The Gypsy King, even though he didn't raise his hand.
He stated, "It was so great. It was a great fight. Deontay would stand on his own feet and Fury would be down.
"Then Fury would return, and then he'd knock Fury down and Fury would get back up.
"There were some shots Fury was hitting Deontay that showed he was on fumes.
"He caught Deontay one time with a shot from the blindside. Deontay took that shot, and continued fighting.
"Fury kept coming forward. I have never seen a trio of gutsy balls at this level in the heavyweight division.
"That was a true battle of giants.
"Before the fight I called Fury very, very good fighter.
"After the fight I gave him credit and called him great fighter because he beat great fighters."
