However, Whyte claimed that he had spent PS150,000 and will now focus his attention on Tyson Fury, WBC champion, upon his return.

He said on BBC Five Live's Boxing Podcast: "This is a simple decision. Tyson Fury is the greatest heavyweight of all time.

"So fight him, or fight someone who doesn't know how to properly speak.

He only does one thing: cry. Salita and him cry like babies. He's crying because he has lost PS15,000 at training camp. I spent ten-times as much on training camp."

After a medical examination, Whyte was declared unfit to fight. Salita and Wallin wanted an independent second opinion.

They also asked the WBC for a reschedule after Fury, 33 was ruled out by the governing body.

However, Whyte (32 years old) plans to continue his fight against the Gypsy King, leaving behind Wallin (30), and ending his three-year wait for a challenge for the title of world champion.

He stated that Wallin would be upset. He has spent more money than he thought he would earn.

"Many times, I've had fights go sour. You can't be mad. This is a great investment in your career, and your future. I can see why he is upset.

"Some fighters won't avoid fights, and some fighters won't quit fights."

"But, in that time, should a potential better chance arise, I've been waiting for the fight for my world title. It's not something I want to delay to fight Otto Wallin."
