Brook, however, is willing to grant Khan what he desires as he believes he will defeat Bolton's native once more

Bolton-born boxer, who was born in Bolton, said that he had considered quitting the sport after the all-British spectacle because he no longer loves it.

Faryal Makhdoom, Khan's wife, echoed his retirement claims in a post on social media. Faryal thanked Khan for his contributions to boxing and wrote that he was happy.

Ben Shalom, a boxing promoter, said Khan has had a change in heart and would like to try Brook again.

SunSport reported that Khan was considering whether or not to enter the ring once again.

In an interview with Sky Sports Shalom confirmed that Khan's whispers are true in a recent interview.

Shalom asserts that Khan is motivated by a possible rematch against Brook because he was struggling in their first bout, while Special K had more time to train.

Sky was told by Shalom that he believed the word on the street was true. Amir Khan does not want to call it a "day"

He said that he had had plenty of time to think about it over the past few weeks and feels like he only had ten week to prepare, while Kell Brook had six.

"He feels hard done."

Brook appears to be open to Khan's wishes for a rematch, if that's what Khan wants.

The former IBF champion insists that the result will be the same.

Brook stated, as reported by Michael Benson via Twitter: "If Brook wants another whooping he can have another one.

"It was so one-sided that I don't know how he can respond." I will dust off the gloves and match it again if he requests a rematch.

Brook is however aiming for something else as Conor Benn, the welterweight champion, has already been confirmed.

Khan must move fast if he wants Brook to be there before Benn, as he has only one week to activate the rematch clause.
