The Bolton ace, 35 years old, waited until the big-fight press conference in order to push Brook on the filmed slur. Brook insists it was not racist and then promised to punish him tomorrow.

Silver medalist for Team GB 2004 said that he doesn't normally talk about racism issues as it can sometimes make things worse.

"But, when someone said something like that it did upset you and it put my on a real downer.

"I was shocked to see that video. It was so sad because it is Kell.

"He is not only making fun of me, but also my religion and race. Racism is not nice. He knows exactly what he is talking about and should be punished.

People need to see him as he really is. He has many fans in Pakistan, India and Asia so it is not surprising that he makes comments like these.

He said that he was not sure if the overdue clash of catchweights would result in them becoming friends and settling the scores.

"He hates me, he is jealous of me but it's too far. It is personal and too deep. "I can't be friends or family with someone like that."

Brook, a former IBF welterweight champion, is also 35 and comes from the highly respected Ingle gym. Khan believes Khan is playing the race card in order to turn fans against himself.

He insists that the verbal dig was not meant to refer to Khan's flakey chin and tendency to crumble like the curry sundries.

Brook stated that he was not a racist. Brook said that Khan is trying to get everyone on his team and against him.

"Look at where I'm from. He is trying to get me to give up and make people hate me.

"I meant that his chin was as delicate and easy to break as a poppadom. That's all I meant.

"There was no racial intention at all.

"I have many Indian, Pakistani and Asian fans, but also friends and training partners at the gym with whom I am always connected. It is a shameful thing for him."
