TYSON FURY will be 'too mass' for Oleksandr Uzyk and should 'ride away into the sunset' if he is undisputed champion.
This is the view of American boxing legend Andre Ward, now pundit and pundit. Ward was at the ringside during Fury's incredible trilogy win over Deontay wilder.
Deontay Wilder was knocked out by Tyson Fury
The Gypsy King has retained his WBC title. Now, it is being talked about a unification with Usyk, the newly crowned WBA/IBF/WBO champ.
Ward, who won belts in super-middleweight, light-heavy and light-heavy, said that 19st 11lb Fury would be too heavy for Usyk, who was 14st for most of his career.
Behind The Gloves, he said: "He's going to beat Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury is not a big, lumbering man. He is skilled; he can fight.
"It's just to much mass, I think," said Anthony Joshua. Usyk must be fought in a rematch.
Joshua, 31 and Fury 33 were scheduled to fight in the undisputed first four-belt fight.
Wilder, 35, who lost to Fury last year but drew with Fury in 2018, prevented unification by claiming his right to a trilogy to arbitration.
After his victory, AJ was ordered to face Usyk (34), and lost in September.
Joshua invoked his right for a rematch and now the pair is due to rematch.
Fury will now face either Dillian Whyte (33), or Otto Wallin (30). The winner of their fight on October 30th will become a mandatory WBC member.
His hopes of undisputed glory are now one step away. However, Ward, who is 37 years old, has backed him to reach that pinnacle and then call it quits.
He stated, "If you are successful, ride off into sunset." He has nothing more to prove.
