Andrew Tate, controversial kickboxer, reacts to Jake Paul's call for him to fight THIS YEAR

JAKE PAUL plans to fight controversial figure Andrew Tate in the next year. However, negotiations are still ongoing.

Rumours have it that Tate, an ex-kickboxer, is in talks with Paul to fight him later in the year.

Tate spokesperson denied the claims, but stated that a fight would take place worldwide.

Mirror Boxing was informed by a spokesperson that there are no current productive talks with Jake Paul’s team about a fight between Andrew and him.

"We know that Andrew's popularity has made it a battle the world wants to see.

"But, at the moment, there is not much to report."

Paul, who has more than 20 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, was scheduled to fight Hasim Rahman Jr. this weekend, before the event was cancelled at the last moment.

Rahman, 25, declared himself to be the "most fearful man in boxing" while blaming Rahman for "lacking professionalism" when moving the goalposts above the agreed weight range.

Rahman was himself a late replacement for Tommy Fury, a former Love Island star who had already cancelled two fights against Paul.

Tate is now a potential contender, with Paul aiming for October for his next fight.

Tate was a Big Brother participant, but he was removed after an online video of Tate striking a woman.

Recent popularity of Tate on social media platforms Instagram, TikTok and Twitter has been a result of his controversial views driving intense debate among viewers.

According to reports, his net worth is at least PS16.2m.

Tate's spokesperson said: "We have also been made aware that Jake Paul, his team, and Andrew intend to call Andrew via a series of YouTube/Insta videos.

"However, as we have stated, there have not been any official talks about a fight."

Paul currently has five wins and zero losses in boxing.
