The Mexican-American weighed in at 268lb and 19st the day before. This is where he said he felt most at home.

Ruiz, who will be facing Luis Ortiz on Saturday, is now back to his ideal weight thanks to Cane's fried chicken chain.

He stated, "I've done everything I was supposed to do."

"I don’t want to say too much, but yesterday we ate Cane’s - I don’t have a strict diet, you know. I have been eating well.

"The most important thing and the main thing is to put in the work inside the gym.

"So weight - it goes down and it comes back on whenever that happens. Boxing is all that matters to us. I am 260lb and in the 60s.

"So, I weigh exactly the same [I did] when fighting Anthony Joshua. However, I have more mobility and ability. I feel good."

Ruiz, 32 was defeated by Joshua in Saudi Arabia, six months after he won the belts. He had ballooned to 20 STONE.

For his fight against Chris Arreola (41), he was back at 18st 2lb, but it was not convincing.

Ruiz will be returning to what brought him to the top in the division, and he is looking to make another run for the titles.

His fight against Ortiz (43), has been designated as an eliminator for Tyson Fury's WBC title, which he currently holds, at 34.
