Andy Ruiz Jr. next fight: He will be returning to heavyweight against Tyrone Spong in Mexico, as he looks at Tyson Fury

ANDY RUIZ JR will be fighting Tyrone Spong in Mexico for the first fight since May last year.

Chris Arreola, the former WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight champion was defeated by him.

Veteran Arreola lost Ruiz during the fight, and was not happy with the unanimous verdict.

Ruiz, unbeaten Dutch fighter Spong, will now enter the ring.

The 36-year old has 14 professional wins.

If Ruiz wins the July bout, he will face Dillian Whyte vs Tyson Fury.

This would put Ruiz back in title contention following his devastating loss to Anthony Joshua 2019 - which saw him regain his belts.

Ruiz stated to EsNEWS in February that he wanted the winner of the fight. Many people wish it had been Fury and I.

"But, you know, I believe that Whyte deserves his shot. So we will see what happens.

"I believe it's going be a helluva fight."

Derek Chisora also called Ruiz out.

Ruiz Jr tweeted "Who should I be fighting next?" Let me know what you think in the comments.

Chisora replied, "Want to go to London?"
