British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has reignited his war of words with rival Tyson Fury, accusing him of delaying the progression of the heavyweight division. Fury is set to face former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a controversial crossover clash in the coming weeks. Joshua has accused Fury of 'ducking' former pound-for-pound king Oleksandr Usyk, claiming that Fury's circus show with Ngannou has slowed down the heavyweight division. Despite Fury recently signing a deal to fight Usyk after his fight with Ngannou, Joshua remains firm in his opinion of Fury's recent antics.
Joshua Calls Fury a 'Duck'
Speaking to DAZN, Anthony Joshua did not hold back in his criticism of Tyson Fury, saying, "I wish I could balance this because he's [Fury] ducking. He's definitely a duck. Whether he's ducking me, not right now, but he's definitely a duck. That's facts like you can't deny he's a duck."
Joshua's Desire to Fight Fury
Anthony Joshua, 33, has expressed his desire to face long-time domestic rival Tyson Fury in a historic Battle of Britain. Despite Fury's dismissal of Joshua, calling him a "bum" and saying he's not interested in fighting him anymore, Joshua still hopes to one day share the ring with the Gypsy King. Joshua knocked out Robert Helenis in his last outing in August.
