Anthony Joshua Joshua has made a dig at David Haye, former heavyweight champion, over his 'baby-toe' injury.
Haye was unable to win the title of unified heavyweight champion in 2011, when he was outpointed easily by Wladimir Klitschko.
Anthony Joshua refuses to excuse his pro-defeats
The Brit was seen standing on the table at the press conference to display his torn toe after the fight. He claimed that it had affected his performance.
Many laughed it off, claiming that it was a poor excuse for him to fluff his lines during his big chance in Hamburg.
Joshua spoke to iFL to discuss the shocking loss to Andy Ruiz Jr, his first pro defeat. He explained that he didn't look for excuses.
Jarrell Miller failed a drug test and Ruiz Jr stepped in. He shocked the world by KOing AJ in round 7.
He stated that he was searching for a replacement. It is likely that at the top level, we will need to spend another 10 weeks training for this fight style, but it doesn't matter what, bring him on.
"It was fascinating because I discovered certain pieces of information 2 weeks after the fight about why certain things were going the same way.
"It gave my reason, so what people call excuses... It could have felt like my baby's toe was hurting. Ruiz was carrying machine-gun bullets in the glove.
"I could have used any excuse that I could think of at the moment. I felt rational and I managed it all myself. Every morning, I looked in the mirror at myself.
Haye blamed his little toe. Deontay Wilder also accused Tyson Fury, who he claimed had 'loaded gloves' after Fury was battered in the ring during their second bout.
AJ won his WBA, WBO, and IBF titles back by easily defeating Ruiz Jr during their rematch.
In September, he lost them all again to Oleksandr Uzyk.
He promised that their rematch would be "a war" and has been asking Ronnie Shields, Mike Tyson's former coach, to make him DOG in order to redeem himself.
Haye, a former world champion at two-weight, has said that Fury will be too strong and resilient to Joshua if they ever fight.
He spoke to BT Sport: The 40-year old said that, "I believe from the strength of those performances, it would be very difficult for AJ.
"AJ's last performance against Usyk was so impressive, Fury taking down Wilder's pipe, he was able get back up to rough him up.
"AJ was at range while Usyk had a boxing match... Is AJ going to defeat Fury in a bout of boxing? "I don't believe it."
