Anthony Joshua says he's trying new coaches, but has not split with Rob McCracken.

ANTHONY JOSHUA is currently in America trying out new coaches, but insists he's not leaving Rob McCracken, his long-term trainer.

Joshua is open to expanding his team of trainers after Oleksandr Usyk lost the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles last month.

Usyk beat AJ by unanimous decision at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The two heavyweights look set for a rematch.

McCracken has guided the British star to two world championships. He has trained in a variety of gyms across the US, but McCracken has not left him.

Joshua said to IFLTV, when asked if his trainer would remain put. "Yeah. And he must speak to the people I might want to work alongside and see if they can work together."

Rob and I had the same conversation. Rob said, "I want to work together, but I also want six months with this guy."

Rob might say to me, "You know what champ? This ain’t working for me." You can do what you want for the next six months and then come back to me. My life and my health are at stake.

"I need to get new teachings from men who have trained - Robert Garcia has trained 13 and 14 world champions. They have so many generations of teachings.

"Virgil Hunter trained Andre Ward. He was a great fighter. He's known as Andre Berto.

"I wanted to be in a fighter's environment.

"Eddy Reynoso: 'No boxing is no life.' That's a great saying. Canelo is a tremendous fighter. I watched him spar 12 rounds, asked certain questions.

"Ronnie Shields is another African American coach who worked with the greats."
