ANTHONY JOSHUA ranked Wladimir Klitschko the toughest puncher he's ever faced in the ring.
The British star defeated the Ukrainian in an 11th round knockout at Wembley 2017 - although he admitted that he could have been "carried on a stretcher".
AJ was shocked when he met Wladimir Klitschko for the first time in his professional career.
Joshua, 32, was defeated by Andy Ruiz Jr, a 25/1 underdog in New York in 2019.
After being pushed to the ground four times by the Mexican, the British star was left bruised and battered.
Oleksandr Usyk also outpointed him last year at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
He has now revealed that Klitschko (46), was the one who possessed the most devastating punches against him.
He said this during a JD Sports Instagram Live before his fight with Usyk. Yeah, Klitschko.
"When Klitschko came in, yes, I knew it could go both ways.
"I could win or I'm going to be laid out on the back," said one of my teammates. What happens when you are taken to the hospital on a stretcher?
"It was the 15 who came after that. He's a beast.
Andy Ruiz Jr. floored Brit four times before his surprise victory last summer
"I was going to say Ruiz Jr., but he hit me that's like a concussion in the back of my skull."
Joshua was stunned when Klitschko's sixth round right hand hit him hard.
The Watford-born bruiser retook the WBA title at world heavyweight and added it to his IBF crown.
Klitschko fell to the ground three times before Joshua won the victory in front 90,000 spectators at Wembley.
Joshua is determined win his belts back when he faces Usyk next month.
The pair will be reunited in Jeddah on August 20, with Tyson Fury possibly being lured out of retirement to meet the winner.
