Feud Escalates with WhatsApp Messages
Former friends and training partners, Anthony Joshua and Carl Froch, have been in the midst of a public feud. Froch, now an outspoken pundit, didn't hold back in criticizing fighters like Joshua and Tyson Fury, leading to the exchange of WhatsApp messages.
Joshua Reaches Out Despite Dig
Despite the tension, Joshua made a gesture by reaching out to Froch on his YouTube channel. However, he didn't hold back from questioning Froch's first world title fight against Jean Pascal and whether he truly beat a champion.
Reconciliation in Progress
Froch defended himself by mentioning his achievements, stating that he still felt like a world champion with the green and gold belt. The relationship between the two fighters seems to be on the mend, with talks of a potential reunion in the works.
Future Collaboration on the Horizon
Joshua even expressed interest in appearing on Froch's YouTube channel in the future, showcasing a willingness to move past their differences and show mutual respect as fighters who shared the ring and the same trainer.
Upcoming Fight at Wembley Stadium
On September 21, Joshua is set to challenge Daniel Dubois for the IBF title at Wembley Stadium, the same venue where Froch famously knocked out George Groves in a rematch in front of 80,000 fans.
