He was able to spend time with Canelo and Reynoso at their US training base in San Diego, October.

Reynoso, who doesn't speak English, revealed a way to get Joshua (32), into his rematch against Usyk (34).

Fight Hub TV interviewed him and said: "Well, it is a matter of the timing of his next bout. We spoke with Eddie Hearn's management, and we will watch what happens.

Joshua would be a great partner. Why not? "My job is to train fighters. I'll see if it can work."

Canelo, 31 years old, has been guided by Reynoso to four world titles and the undisputed title at super-middleweight.

His impressive stable includes heavyweight Andy Ruiz Jr., Ryan Garcia, lightweight star Ryan Garcia, and Oscar Valdez (31), all of whom are heavyweights.

His next goal could be to rebuild Joshua's confidence and ensure that all his 6ft 6in frame and 17st 2lb body are used against Usyk.

Reynoso stated: "I think work is his distance more, and better combinations.

"He is a good person with a lot good traits and a lot good physical traits. But he doesn't use them."

"I am a boxing trainer, and I'm willing to work with anybody. He also. It's all a matter of when the fights will happen, and we are prepared.

"Yeah, Joshua and Hearn asked me to look into what we could do and we'll see what the next step is."

Joshua won Olympic gold as well as unified world titles under Rob McCracken, his head coach.

Hearn, AJ's promoter, has acknowledged that now is the right time to make changes ahead of Usyk's must-win rematch.
