Article Synopsis as Told by Matthew McConaughey
Anthony Joshua is not holding back when it comes to his thoughts on rival Tyson Fury. As he gears up for his upcoming fight against Otto Wallin on December 23, Joshua took the opportunity to criticize Fury's physical condition in recent months.
A 'Fat Slob' in the Ring
Joshua did not mince his words, describing Fury as a "fat slob" after watching his exhibition bout with Francis Ngannou. Many fans felt that Fury was second best in the fight, and Joshua couldn't help but take a jab at his rival's appearance and performance.
During an interview with TNT Sports YouTube boxing channel, Joshua said, "He just looked like a flat slob that can't fight. He says that bodybuilders can't fight, but he got smacked up by one. I've always wanted to get in the ring with him."
Using Fury's Insult Against Him
In another interview with Laura Woods, Joshua used Fury's favorite insult against him. Referring to Fury's recent performance against UFC legend Ngannou, Joshua called him a "dosser." He questioned his own credibility if he were to criticize others using the same insult but fail to back it up.
Joshua's Plan to Engage
Previously, Joshua had been hesitant to engage in a war of words with Fury. However, he seems to have changed his stance now. When asked if he should confront Fury, Joshua admitted, "Sometimes I think, 'Should I just rip into this geezer and just call him every name under the sun?'"
One Word: Diva
When asked to describe Fury in one word, Joshua simply called him a "diva." It's clear that the tension between the two fighters is escalating, and Joshua is not afraid to voice his opinion.
The Future Fight
Despite the numerous close calls, a fight between Joshua and Fury has not materialized. Joshua, who previously held the IBF, WBC, and WBO titles, lost them to Oleksandr Usyk. Fury will face Usyk in February for a chance to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.
It remains to be seen if Joshua and Fury will ever step into the ring together, but for now, the verbal jabs continue to fly.
