ANTHONY JOSHUA will be reviving his rivalry against Oleksandr Usyk in a high stakes rematch in May.
In just two months, the Watford warrior will seek to avenge his lopsided points defeat at the hands the southpaw last September.
Anthony Joshua will rematch Oleksandr Uzyk in spring
Eddie Hearn, the BBC's promoter, stated that AJ would be fighting Usyk. This is his preferred choice.
"May is when we'll see that fight.
"There are the USA, UK, and the Middle East. We've received offers from all over the world to fight that battle.
"I would like to do it in Britain and we'll be able to see."
Although AJ's do-or-die bout is not yet set, there are several venues that could host it.
SunSport felt it was only right to announce the venues for Usyk vs Joshua 2.
Wembley Stadium
For Joshua's biggest fight, the home of English football would be a perfect venue.
The all-or-nothing competition would be a great spectacle with as many as 90,000.
AJ has fought Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and others under the Wembley arch in April 2017 as well as September 2018.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Spurs' brand-spanking-stadium was the venue where Joshua's second reign as unified heavyweight champ came to an end.
It would be logical for him to go back to the place of his defeat and seek revenge under exactly the same circumstances.
Emirates Stadium
Although the venue has not yet hosted a major boxing event, it is in contention to be the home of Tottenham's rivals Arsenal in north London.
Gunners fan AJ might change his mind and choose to play a major role in selecting the venue for his next event.
Principality Stadium
Cardiff's Principality Stadium could also be a venue for the eagerly awaited second meeting between Joshua and Usyk.
The Millenium Stadium was the venue for back-to-back AJ fights, in November 2017 and January 2018. Joseph Parker won his title defense against Carlos Takam (now deceased) and Joseph Parker (now deceased).
However, poor attendance at those fights could force Matchroom to leave the Welsh capital, despite its retractable roof.
Saudi Arabia
Joshua could return to the Middle East if a UK stadium show fails to materialize.
Joshua's must win rematch against Andy Ruiz Jr took place in Saudi Arabia in December 2019. The Clash on the Dunes was staged in Diriyah in a specially-built arena.
It's possible that the fight could take place in Jeddah, a modern port city.
