ANTHONY JOSHUA is awash with photos of exotic holidays aboard private jets, custom-made cars and watches that cost more than PS350,000 on his social media feeds.
However, despite his wealth of PS63million and his luxurious lifestyle, the British star is still humble. He lives in ex-council housing with his mother and receives everything, from luxury holidays to clothes, for free.
Anthony Joshua does not spend his own money
AJ also owns a two-bedroom flat in Sheffield, where he trains. It has a master bedroom with a single-bed, worn-out sofas and a shared bathroom.
Joshua is one of few Americans who doesn't have to worry about grocery shopping. However, he seems to not even have to pay for his own eggs. His sponsors also pay for Joshua's meal prep.
The 6ft 6in 32 year-old keeps all his money and only spends it on gifts for his family.
His right-handman and marketing manager, Freddie Cunningham says Joshua doesn't have the lifestyle he wants, despite his having "a lot" of money.
It probably looks like he does from the outside. Business Insider has seen him in luxury cars and in private jets.
"But all the jets are sponsored. In our lives, we have never paid for a private plane or helicopter. Land Rover gives him a Land Rover signature car.
He's not spending that much money. He is accumulating wealth.
He's living the lifestyle most people want him to, but he's doing so in a smart way. Tactful."
Joshua has 12 endorsement contracts on the go, earning him an estimated PS5m annually - which includes clothing, electronics and cars to keep him in the pocket money when he's not fighting opponents.
A free PS45million private jet
AJ is sponsored and paid a seven-figure salary by Under Armour, the US sportswear giant.
AJ showed the interior of the PS45million G550 black before he traveled to the States to meet Ruiz.
"I don't get too lost in the source or get carried away with these kinds of things."
The company provides the former world heavyweight champion with in-ring attire, training wear, and all tracksuits and trainers.
Anthony has also been granted free access to a helicopter by Beats By Dre.
His car was stolen and he got a free car
Joshua, a 17-year old, bought a Vauxhall Astra as his first car. He saved PS1,500 for it and said that it was stable and sturdy.
Thanks to his partnership Jaguar Land Rover - rumoured at PS790,000 a Year - AJ now rides around London in a fleet luxury wheels including a customised white Jaguar XJR worth PS93,000.
His favorite motor is his personal black Range Rover. He says it looks very professional and sets an example
He was furious when his custom PS150,000 motor, which was gifted to him by his sponsors, was taken from his cousin's home.
The company immediately replaced the defective one.
Trips to Dubai, Miami, and Jamaica are free
When AJ isn't sparring he enjoys exotic holidays and his Instagram shows him in Dubai, Jamaica, and Miami.
These trips are often sponsored by resorts and countries who wish to have the sporting icon seen at their most popular tourist spots.
Cunningham stated: Dubai Tourism has a partnership with him and they love his philosophy of life and his morals.
"He resonates in that territory. They want to bring boxing over there. We hope we can do something ."
Anthony has stayed at Nobu Miami Beach Private Villa for PS5k per night, while the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is where luxury villas can be rented out for PS4k per week.
A watch is worth more than a house
Anthony was born in Watford from humble beginnings.
He now claims he knows how much money he has earned.
He advised his 8.8 million Instagram users to "Don't save anything after you spend, just spend what you have left over after saving."
He still wears thousands of expensive jewellery, even though he keeps his purse closed.
A PS350,000 watch was given to him by Audemars, a partnership between luxury jewellers Audemars Peguet.
Get free gym membership, music and food
Joshua and Eddie Hearn helped open a state-of-the-art BXR gym in London's Marylebone in 2019.
Joshua stated: "I spend most of my time in the gym so I know what it takes to make a great one."
He returned to his old gym, ABC Finchley for free, just before his first fight against Ruiz.
AJ doesn’t have to spend a lot on his weekly shopping.
Bulk Powders is the source of his high-protein diet. Lynx, Axe and Axe are his sponsors. This means he has a well-organized beauty and hygiene regimen.
If he wishes to give his family and friends a free meal, he can show his black card at Nando's to get it free.
He doesn’t have to pay for tickets to concerts, gigs and sporting events. He has the privilege of VIP suites thanks to his endorsement with StubHub, while Sky TV is free through his deal with Sky Sports.
