OLEKSANDR USAYK'S preparations to face Anthony Joshua in a rematch have been disrupted by Russia's invasion.
As talks continue with AJ about a date and location for their upcoming fight, the WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight champion were in England this week.
Oleksandr Usyk will be defending his WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight titles against Anthony Joshua in the latter part of this year
According to some, the dust-up will likely take place in June or May with Tottenham being the most popular host.
The Daily Mail claimed that Usyk will not be returning from his training base outside of Kiev, in a major blow to him.
This is because Russia invaded Ukraine after Vladimir Putin declared war against their neighboring country.
Alex Krassyuk, Usyk's promoter, told the Mail that he doesn't know what The Cat will do to his preparations.
He suggested that it would be impossible for them to return to Ukraine to train.
Usyk could move to Oxnard in California with his training partner Vasyl Lomachenko.
The undisputed champion of cruiserweight is now back in Ukraine, where he has pleaded with Russia for 'no war.
Usyk posted a video to Instagram captioned "NO WAR" and wrote: "Some wrote that I ran off."
"It wasn't. I was at work, but I'm back, and I'm home.
"Friends, it's hard right now, I'm very emotional, and worry about our country and our people.
"Friends, this war must be stopped, everyone together."
Eddie Hearn, a matchroom promoter, insists that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will not have any impact on Joshua's rematch against Usyk.
