TYSON FURY would have an 'insurmountable advantage' if he ever faces UFC star Francis Ngannou.
After his boxing career ends, the Gypsy King is being linked to a spectacular switch to MMA.
Teddy Atlas says that Tyson Fury would be too strong for Francis Ngannou in boxing,
Ngannou, however, has stated that he would like to try his hand at noble art.
Teddy Atlas, the legendary trainer, doesn't think Ngannou will be able to beat the WBC heavyweight champion in boxing.
Submission Radio: "I believe the making of that is all based upon money.
"Let's face it, if it isn't based on MMA rules it will be with boxing rules. The guy who has been boxing since he's 12 years old knows the rules.
"The guy who has had 200 amateur fights and the guy who trained in a gym all those years to become a top fighter, he's going to have a huge advantage. Perhaps an insurmountable advantage to be very honest.
"We are probably fooling ourselves, because we want to fool ourself." We are entertained and want to believe it.
"If you are going to support this fight, you want to believe that the Cameroon giant can land a punch on the guy and knock him cold, even though he is an MMA fighter, not a boxer.
"How many times do we see a top fighter fight a guy who isn't as well-developed, not nearly as well as the top fighter?
It would be a huge money fight. It would be competitive. It is unlikely. Fury offers a complete package that includes years of training in boxing.
John Tyson, Tyson's father, recently stated that he believes that his son will make the transition into MMA once he puts on the boxing gloves.
FURY'S MOVE IN MMA
Joe was told by him: "I believe the more difficult it is for Tyson, I think it's the better it's for him."
It brings, what they call, "I dunno", something new to his job, don't you think?
"It gives him more things to do and more goals to reach."
"I believe that Tyson wants that, and when he retires from boxing, he will probably go to that, and possibly return to boxing.
"He will do whatever he wants. You'll be able to see that he is willing to engage in this.
After he beat Deontay wilder to a stoppage in the 11th round of their tri-fibre bout, Fury is now enjoying some time with his family.
