As talks continue over the 80/20 purse stall, Tyson Fury may fight Robert Helenius and Manuel Charr rather than Dillian Whyte.

TYSON FURY may find himself facing Robert Helenius and Manuel Charr if he doesn't agree to a deal with Dillian Whyte.

The WBC ordered Fury to spar with his old sparring partner in December, but no agreement has been reached over their respective splits for the proposed purse.

Manuel Charr, WBA regular heavyweight champ, will also be taking on the Gypsy King

Whyte, a Brixton banger, has refused to accept Fury's 80-20 split in Fury’s favor. Bob Arum, co-promoter of the campaign admits that this could open the door for Charr or Helenius to face The Gypsy King.

TalkSPORT was informed by him that Dillian Whyte might not be willing to fight, regardless of the reason. We're not going to keep Tyson Fury alive - we're not going make him pay for waiting.

"Fury is a fighter and would rather fight sooner than later."

"We can look around and find a good, decent opponent to fight him if Whyte's not available...

"You have guys like Robert Helenius or Manuel Charr.

"You can just look at the rankings, and choose a few guys who would make good opponents."

The purse bids for the bout were supposed to be heard last Wednesday, but were delayed to allow both sides more time to reach a compromise.

Arum is optimistic that an agreement will be reached to eliminate the need for purse bids.

He stated that he did not believe an agreement could be reached with Dillian Whyte. The purse bid will proceed sometime in the next week.

"Maybe not Tuesday, maybe Friday, but it's there.

"The WBC has decided that Whyte will receive 20% of the purse bidding and, if that purse bid goes ahead we'll figure out how that 20% comes to...

"I believe that the purse bid will be rejected if a deal is made. A purse bid is not going to do anyone any good.

"I believe the parties should just sit down and work out a normal deal. There's a lot of money involved.

"Obviously, there are talks to settle the matter so it proceeds without purse bids."

Fury, 33 years old, will defend his WBC heavyweight title with or without Whyte on March 26.

Frank Warren, co-promoter, told iFL TV that Tyson wanted the fight to take place at the end of March. We're open to other possibilities as a team.

"Whatever happens, he will fight March 26, that's the objective.

"I don't know where it is."

"We have a date here, but it could be elsewhere. He wants to fight, that is the fact of it."
