OLEKSANDR USAYK was snapped in Ukraine playing charity basketball as he takes a break from his win over Anthony Joshua.
Due to injury, the Ukrainian boxer will not be fighting against any more opponents this year and wants to spend more time with his family.
Usyk participated in a charity basketball match
The Ukrainian defeated Anthony Joshua twice, and could now face Tyson Fury next season
While Joshua and Tyson Fury were negotiating a date for the Battle of Britain clashes, Usyk was enjoying a low-stakes match of basketball.
Fury's camp wanted to know if a fight could be arranged with Jeddah's winner before the end, but Usyk's injury ended those plans.
Fury will instead fight AJ, as the two teams attempt to arrange a date for November/December.
He surprised everyone by calling out Joshua to fight him on social media.
He offered to help Joshua, who had just lost to Usyk for the second time.
Joshua has the chance to win the WBC World title, but Joshua is still fighting for dates.
Reports suggest that a deal has been reached and that the fight could be the most important in British boxing history.
In a twist of fate, Usyk even offered to train Joshua in the fight if it came to pass.
Negotiations are currently in limbo following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Frank Warren, Fury's copromoter, told Talksport they stopped talking out of respect for Her Majesty.
He stated that he had put everything on hold for the moment. Evidently, it wasn't right. We feel that way.
"We have put it on hold, and will get on it within the next week."
"We don't think it is appropriate from our point of view out of respect for the past."
