Ashley Cain will fight eight times in order to honor the life of Azaylia, his eight-month-old daughter.
The Azaylia Foundation was founded by the heroic ex-footballer and reality TV star.
Matty's brother Cain cycled 1,040 miles between the bottom of England and the top of Scotland in September to raise awareness and funds for the amazing children fighting childhood cancer.
The ex-Coventry winger now focuses his attention on boxing, and will be making his debut in the ring this Saturday as part of an influencer card between the UK and the USA.
For Cain, 31, who will fight American YouTuber Andreas Eskander on July 1, it will be his first of eight fights in the memory of Azaylia.
He stated, "It was important to me to take up the boxing challenge because it is my daughter's heroic fight against cancer for eight months.
"So, I want to honor those eight months with eight bouts within the ring.
"I promised I would always be the best dad I could be. I will honor her amazing time here, and I will fight until the day that I die for the children and their families that face the cancer monster.
"I am fighting because my girl had to, and for all the children still fighting this monster.
"So I will fight for something I am passionate about: raising awareness and funds to combat childhood cancer, and showing people that it doesn't matter what your circumstances are in the world.
"If you are able to find your reason and are willing to fight for it you can overcome any obstacle and reach your goals."
- The Azaylia Fund supports families who are raising money for cancer treatments. It also provides memorable experiences for children fighting the disease. Here is how to donate.
