ANTHONY JOSHUA faced a potentially fatal rematch against Oleksander Usyk in order to show the world that he is an "all-time great".
In a crucial Saudi showdown, the Watford warrior will try to reclaim the unified titles of heavyweight from the southpaw.
Next month, Anthony Joshua will renew his rivalry against Oleksandr Usyk
Last September, AJ was defeated by the Ukrainian on a score of lopsided points
The Brit took the risky rematch to prove that he is a "great" player according to Eddie Hearn
AJ, 32, opted not to sign a lucrative step-aside agreement in revenge on the undefeated Ukrainian - he took him to school last September in their Tottenham tussle.
The Brit is not only motivated by revenge for his second professional loss.
Eddie Hearn, promoter of iFL TV said to iFL TV that he loves the fact he is going back in with Oleksandr Usyk after everyone else went.
"Because, he's trying prove to you that... he's great... Let's all put him down for being an all-time great when he wins."
Joshua brought Robert Garcia, the world champion coach, to his desert dust-up against Usyk. Hearn hopes this partnership will result in a more aggressive approach to fight night.
He said to BBC 5 Live Boxing, "You have to push him back, just as [Derek] Chisora did."
"Watch the Chisora fight in [the] first round. [Usyk] was against the ropes. You have to get him back there.
You have to rugby tackle him back into those ropes. [Usyk] will be a sitting duck, sitting duck."

"Listen, Usyk might come out on top and push AJ back.
"You saw that in Deontay wilder against Tyson Fury."
Hearn says Joshua, no matter how much he loses, will fight again before year's end.
Hearn stated to iFL TV that Joshua wants activity more than anything and December will be his next fight.
