Bernard Hopkins predicts that Canelo will brutally defeat Gennadiy Gorlovkin and end the trilogy fight with a 'liver shot.

CANELO ALVAREZ is expected to end his rivalry against Gennady Gorlovkin with a brutal liver punch.

They will renew their rivalry in Las Vegas next month FOUR years, after their controversial Las Vegas rematch which Canelo won by unanimous decision.

Father Time appears to have caught up with Golovkin, the two-time unified midweight champion. He has been slowing down in his two previous fights.

Bernard Hopkins, the former undisputed 160lb king, believes that Canelo is a hard-hitting and hungry Canelo who will take his frustrations to GGG's liver.

"First, GGG is taking the fight and he's only one punch away from relaunching his career.

He's a puncher. This is how he got there and how Canelo exposed him.

"It will be fascinating to see two men that are a little older than they were.

"I believe there will be more fights between the sides. Canelo will be my stoppage pick by the sixth round or seventh."

Hopkins isn't optimistic that the third installment will be as thrilling as the first two.

He stated that he didn't think this fight would be as thrilling as the previous two.

"I predict Canelo will find his groove and then get a stoppage either in the sixth or seventh rounds.

It could be one [head or body stoppage], but it seems like it will be a beating down [for Canelo] over GGG.

"I believe it will be a liver shot and that will happen in the first four rounds.

"Canelo is a great body shot guy that wears one down, and then Golovkin's head will be exposed so he can do what he wishes to do. It'll all start there.

It will start at the bottom by bringing the head down. There will be some stoppage but it will start from the body.

Golovkin, 40 years old, is eager to be beaten by the former pound-for pound king of boxing.

He stated, "It would have been the greatest win of my career." It would be the greatest thing that ever happened. It would be very satisfying."
