Miller Allegedly Attacks Car Dealership Employee
Professional boxer Jarrell Miller, 35, has been arrested in Hollywood after allegedly attacking a car dealership employee. He is accused of putting the staff member in a chokehold and slamming him to the ground before stealing a recently repossessed Dodge Ram and fleeing the scene.
Charges and Court Hearing
Miller has been charged with carjacking without a firearm or weapon and burglary with assault or battery. He appeared in court on Wednesday afternoon and is currently in custody in Fort Lauderdale, according to the Broward's Sheriff's Office.
Boxing Career and Controversies
Miller, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, had been due to face Anthony Joshua in 2019 but was replaced by Andy Ruiz Jr after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. After serving a suspension, Miller made a comeback in 2022 and won fights against Ariel Esteban Bracamonte and Derek Cardenas before losing to Daniel Dubois in Saudi Arabia last month.
During his time in Saudi Arabia, Miller had a heated argument with Joshua, who told him, "I'm still your landlord," as they were separated.

Miller remains in custody on a $30,000 (£26,600) bond. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
