Rolando Romero says he is free from sexual assault allegations
After multiple women's accusations, 26-year-old Nevada fighter Romero has been the subject of an investigation by Henderson Police Department.
A 24-year-old woman claimed she was sexually abused in September 2020 at the Las Vegas apartment of a boxer.
This resulted in Davis' December 5 WBA lightweight showdown being cancelled.
Romero has maintained his innocence and believes he can return to the boxing ring, even though he was released without being charged.
The police have not confirmed the outcome of the investigation.
Romero posted on social media that "after [two]-and a-half months of being slandered by false accusations, having missed out on opportunities and being cheated out my dream, and out a huge amount of wealth - The investigation into the allegations against me was formally closed."

Later, he added that "continued lies from the obviously insane and obsessed person constitute libel against my name." She has no evidence to support her claims, and she is determined to continue to pay attention to my name.
"She will not be a part my story anymore."
Romero and Davis (27 years old) had held a press conference in advance of their fight last January before Isaac Cruz replaced them.
Cruz took Davis injured the distance before being edged out by a unanimous points decision.
The contest, which is still unbeaten by 14-0 Romero or 26-0 Davis, could return in 2022.
"Rolly" last fought Anthony Yigit on July 17, last year in round 7.
