Boxing Rivals Set for Epic MMA Rematch in Unprecedented Two-Fight Series

History in the Making

Boxing rivals Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields are on the brink of a groundbreaking two-fight series that will see them face off in both boxing and MMA.

Rivalry Renewed

Marshall was the first and only boxer to hand Shields a defeat in the amateurs. A decade later, Shields got her revenge with a victory at the O2 Arena.

From Ring to Cage

While talks for a boxing rematch fell through, the duo is now gearing up to settle their score in the MMA cage after signing with the Professional Fighters League.

CEO Confirms Showdown

PFL CEO Peter Murray expressed excitement about the upcoming clash, stating that both athletes are committed to excelling in both boxing and MMA.

Upcoming Battles

Shields boasts a 2-1 record in the cage, with her latest win against Kelsey DeSantis in Saudi Arabia. Marshall, on the other hand, will make her MMA debut at PFL against Mirela Vargas.

Women Making Waves

Seven-weight boxing champ Amanda Serrano, with two wins and one MMA draw, is also part of the PFL roster. Murray believes these women will inspire more boxers to transition to MMA.
