Living with Mum
Despite his tremendous success in the boxing world, former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has made an unexpected revelation - he still lives with his mum in London. With a net worth of over £200 million, Joshua could easily afford to move out, but he chooses to stay with his mother, Yeta, in order to support her and keep her company. The down-to-earth athlete opened up about his living situation during an interview with Louis Theroux on a BBC programme.
Family Values
Joshua, 34, expressed that living with family is a common cultural practice and something he values. He explained, "In our culture, you grow up with your family. We grow up in our own family homes for a long time. We support our parents. Why am I gonna move out and leave my mum by herself? For some girl?" The boxing superstar believes that when a man marries, his wife becomes a part of his family, emphasizing the importance of family unity in his life.
Meeting Women
When it comes to dating, Joshua maintains a humble approach. He revealed that he meets women in various everyday settings, such as the local supermarket or petrol station. He even mentioned that he would happily take a girl to Pizza Hut if that's what she wanted. The athlete emphasized that he's a "people person" and doesn't mind the attention from onlookers when he's out with someone.
Overcoming Challenges
During the interview, Joshua also opened up about his past struggles with marijuana use. He admitted to smoking the drug at the young age of 13 but recognized that it was a distraction in his life. Joshua explained, "If you can't get the distractions out of your life, you can't get your full attention on improving as an athlete. For me, when I stopped smoking, I was able to progress."

Anthony Joshua's candid interview with Louis Theroux provided a glimpse into his personal life and the values that drive him. Despite his fame and fortune, he remains grounded and focused on his family and career.
