The British Boxing Board of Control confirmed that the uproar caused an official investigation.

The BBoBC also reviewed Skete's December loss to Hamzah Sheeraz. Sheeraz landed THREE punches, while Skete was defeated by the Londoner.

Skeete was eventually stopped, but Sheeraz (22 years old) should have been disqualified.

Gray was interviewed by the BBoBC and he accepted his decision to not DQ Sheeraz - rather, he offered support to arrange a rematch.

Skeete decided to give up after Taylor's tragic loss to Catterall.

He wrote on Instagram: "After seeing last night's fight, and the shocking result against Jack Catterall, I'm glad that I made the decision to quit boxing."

"From top to bottom, it's corruption at its best!"

It's not the first or last time that a fighter has been blatantly robbed or cheated, and there will be no repercussions.

"I have no doubt that the BBBofC will examine it and sweep it under the rug as usual!"

"The sport is embarrassingly becoming a joke. That's it. Thank you, but no thanks.

Catterall called himself "Uncrowned King" in a post on social media, reflecting on his first career loss.

He wrote, "Nothing will ever alter how I feel about Saturday. That fight was my victory. I went to the champions' country and taught him a lesson.

"The decision didn't go well for me, and I don't believe it will ever. They took a moment from my life that i will never be able to get back.

"I stand by everyone and agree that big changes are needed, as corruption in the sport we all love can be so devastating.

Since then, I have received overwhelming support and I want to thank everyone for it. "Uncrowned King"
