Horror Injuries on Display

British bare-knuckle boxer, Melanie Shah, was left completely unrecognisable after a brutal bloodbath fight that left her with horrific facial injuries and missing teeth. Shah faced off against Britain Hart in a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship title fight that lasted five gory rounds.

A Battered Face

Shah's battered and bruised face, along with missing teeth, was on full display following the fight. During a post-fight interview, she spoke out despite her severely swollen face, insisting that she enjoyed the experience.

Fighting Toughness

Speaking about her opponent, Shah said, "After the first round, I realized that she was a lot tougher than I was expecting. Although I expected her to be tough, I just expected her to show a bit more tiredness. It didn't go the way I wanted, but I was still happy that I went all five rounds. Even though I don't look like it, I enjoyed the whole process and I enjoy being in the ring and challenging myself."

Rematch Possibility

Shah's opponent, Britain Hart, gained recognition after defeating Paige VanZant in 2021 and has since achieved an 8-3 record in the BKFC ring. Hart even managed to knock out Shah's teeth during their bout. Despite the injuries, Shah appears open to a rematch, saying, "If I could fight Brit again, I think what I'd do is – although I fought the way I like to fight, I backed off more than maybe I should have. And I'd probably try to do other things I wouldn't normally do."
