JOSH TAYLOR revealed that he dropped Yordenis Ugas during sparring.
Ugas, now 35, stunned boxing fans when he defeated Manny Pacquiao.
Josh Taylor is confident that he can step up to a new division.
Taylor, a light welterweight, isn't afraid of Ugas and believes he can climb up a division to claim the Cuban's crown.
Sky Sports was informed by the Scot: "Yes. I believe in myself. I have goals, targets, and things that I want to achieve.
"My long-term goal is becoming a two-weight world champion and winning a belt at the welterweight. These guys are tough.
"Ugas, we sparred at Vegas, and it went very well. This is all I have to say. It was a great success. I dropped him!
"If that fight happened? I have more experience and I have been in major fights.
"This was before I fought for titles. "Now I have been in big fights and hard fights for titles.
"I can beat them, I truly believe in my abilities."
Ugas reacted furiously to Taylor's tweet, calling him a "liar and cheater" and a "man without any type of class".
Taylor must defeat Jack Catterall, a light welterweight opponent, before a fight can be arranged between them.
Taylor said that Taylor's next opponent was a "very tough test." Taylor is 26-0 and has defeated everyone before him.
"There were no questions. "We have not seen the best Catterall yet.
"I have seen a few of his performances, and they weren't very impressive.
He doesn't have the opponents to really ignite him. He'll be ready for this one.
