CALEB PLANT was admitted to a local Las Vegas hospital after his 11th round knockout loss to Canelo Avarez.
With just one round remaining, the referee stopped the contest.
Caleb Plant was defeated by Canelo alvarez in round 11.
Plant lost his IBF title and was unable to be interviewed after his first loss.
But per a Premier Boxing Champions spokesperson, he was taken to to a local hospital for an ‘observation’, which was reported by ESPN.
Canelo, 31 years old, added WBC, WBA, and WBO titles, to become the undisputed super-middleweight champion.
Alvarez, who was involved in a brawl at the press conference prior to the fight, admitted that he'd never felt so much animosity towards an opposition as he did with Plant, 29, 29.
Canelo, however, paid tribute to his tough opponent after his dramatic KO victory.
He stated, "My respect for Caleb Plant. He is a formidable fighter who has a lot of talent.
"We are men at the end. He wanted to fight me and he wanted to continue. We had a great fight today, and there is no shame in that.
"But, of course we came out on top."
Canelo was a four-division champion who won undisputed supremacy in his 60-fight career that began when he was 15.
Alvarez stated, "I want to be a good friend to everyone." It wasn't easy to reach this point.
"But, with your support, My family, and my team, I've come a long way. This is for everyone, especially in Mexico.
